Threat of dust

Dust refers to solid particles suspending in the air. Dirt, smoke dust, mine dust, sand and dust, and powder don’t have clear line with dust. In our life and work, industrial dust is an enemy of human health, and also the major cause of many illnesses.

Dust hanging in the air contains toxic ingredients, such as chromium, manganese, cadmium, lead, mercury and arsenic. When people breath in dust, particles smaller than 5μm are easy to be breathed into lung, causing toxic pneumonia or black lung, even lung cancer. Once dissolved, the pollutants deposited in lung will invade into blood, causing blood poisoning. Other pollutants not yet dissolved will also be absorbed by cell, destroying cell structure.
